This volume explores the work of 12 artists in the fields of landscape architecture and land art.
Included are places of commemoration, such as Dani Karavan's memorial for Walter Benjamin, in Port Bou at the French-Spanish border; and Hannsjorg Voth's "Stairway to the Sky" in the Moroccan desert.
The works of Ian Hamilton Finlay, Peter Walker, Sven-Ingvar Andersson, Adriaah Geuze, Bernard Lassus and Martha Schwartz are also presented in this work.
