These papers, by psychologists and economists, apply well-formulated theories or research methods from one of the sciences to generate new insight in the other discipline.
For the psychologist, this approach illustrates how neoclassical economics can provide a formal structure which is useful in describing behaviour.
For the economist it shows how the concept of rational economic man may be supplemented (or replaced) by realistic assumptions about human behaviour.
Examples of applied economic psychology are provided.
